U2 Tour

In case you missed this news - U2's going on tour again!
U2 announced that it would play Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Sept. 24 as part of its tour to promote its new album, “No Line on the Horizon.” The band said it would also perform in Chicago on Sept. 12, Toronto on Sept. 16 and Boston on Sept. 20. The tour begins in Barcelona on June 30 and continues in Europe in July and August.

So, come September 20th, expect me at the Gillette Stadium in Boston! :)

And here's the best news:

I missed the last tour since I didn't want to pay so much $ and also by the time I looked for tickets, the only seat remaining was behind the stage - behind some pillar in Boston's basketball/ice-hockey stadium (previously Fleet Center and now TD North whatchamacallit center!)

Like the link above says its back to stadium style + with lower prices than the $165 or whatever it was last time! Hurrah! And they promise they are going to rock us with a show like never before.\

Fans can expect a stadium-size rock show unlike any they've seen before. "I don't know if we're supposed to say this, but we have ... a way of playing outdoors like no one's ever played," Bono told MTV News about the tour, which arrives Stateside when the band hits Chicago on September 12.
..
The ambitious production will utilize a 360-degree audience configuration (which is illustrated on 360.U2.com) and employ a cylindrical video screen. "It's going to be a very different way to set up a show," the Edge said. "We always ask the same question: What's never been done? And that's what I think we have going for this tour."

The BlackBerry-sponsored tour, the band's first since the 2005-2006 Vertigo Tour, will offer 85 percent of tickets at less than $95, with general-admission floor tickets going for $55, and at least 10,000 tickets at every venue priced around $30, according to a release announcing the tour. Tickets for North American dates will start going on sale later this month or in early April.

So..KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN later this month or in early April.

Btw, I also missed this on the IMAX screen here last year. DVD (blue-ray high-def) may provide for some consolation viewing now!
