Biofuels

Biofuels: Think Outside The Barrel - a talk by Vinod Khosla gave to Google employees about ethanol on March 29, 2006. The talk covers technical, policy, and market issues regarding a transition from fossil fuels to biofuels.

Khosla, who is one of the co-founders of Sun Microsystems is today renowned as the #1 venture capitalist (Forbes magazine) and Fortune magazine recently labeled him as one of the nation's most influential ethanol advocates, noting "there are venture capitalists, and there's Vinod Khosla.")

Also see a related downloadable presentation.
Also his website links to some of his other presentations & papers and he also apparently blogs at HuffPost.

Also this interesting debate about Khosla's thoughts on bio-ethanol, in which he (and many others) is heavily invested, as a source of fuel. Also read this Wired magazine article where
Khosla explains why he’s betting on biofuels.

Khosla is one Indian* the whole world should be proud of as someone who is putting his focus, money, and energy (no pun intended) into making the world a better place.

* He is an alum of IIT-Delhi, India (Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering ), Carnegie Mellon University (Masters in Biomedical Engineering), and Stanford Graduate School of Business (MBA).
